Update on Proposed Changes to NEPA

SAA is aware of the president's statement today announcing the administration's intent to publish dramatic changes to the regulations implementing the National Environmental Policy Act. If these changes are similar to the proposed version that the Society commented upon earlier this year, we expect they will greatly weaken protections for our irreplaceable cultural and environmental assets. SAA will issue a full statement when the changes are published and we have had time to examine them.
